Photography Courses
If you would like to take photos like a professional then DMT Photography courses are just for you. David has taught hundreds of keen amateurs from ages 11 to 77 and people have travelled from as far away as Lismore, Dorrigo and Bowraville to do the courses around the Coffs Harbour region. David Michael Thorn is a National and State Award winning professional photographer who has managed DMT Photography Coffs Harbour since 1995.The courses are run monthly; please check with David about the dates of each course. Proficiency certificates are awarded at the end of each course. All photos shown in the photo course gallery have been taken by students and used with their permission. Level 1 Course Students will learn how to use their camera in Shutter Speed and Aperture Mode settings. How to avoid using your on-camera flash to create magnificent 3 dimensional images. It is a 4 hour course that is held around the Coffs Harbour Jetty area. David will pass on tips that he has learnt from the past 14 years as a professional photographer. A critique session is held for the last 30mins of the course where you can bring in your good or bad photos to discuss with David and the other students in the class. Course Cost $110 Level 2 Course Students will learn how to do more artistic images in this 6 hour course. We travel up to the mountain in Dorrigo and capture waterfall shots at Danger Falls whilst using both fast and slow Shutter speed settings. The course will finish at Coffs Harbour Jetty where we capture night shots. A tripod is a must for this course as well as having a digital camera that can be set on Shutter Speed or Aperture mode settings. Students must have completed the Level 1 Course to progress to this course. Course Cost $150 |
