Why I do what I do and why I love it so much…. In brief: I love knowing that I have brought joy to people that will last longer than I will in this World… So that their family members can enjoy their photographs in the future. People that haven’t even been born yet, will be able to see and experience the same photographs as those who have already passed us by…

Family and the relationships within them are very important to me, and I believe this is reflected in my photography.

I believe moments such as when Dad sees his Daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, to be equally as important as the beautiful photos taken on location of the couple and bridal party. Photographing a wedding for me, is not just about taking pretty pictures of the Bride and Groom. I’m not there to record just what you looked like on the day, I am there to infuse your photographs with the real emotions felt at that present time. I have every intent in ensuring that when you see one of your photographs, your memory will be triggered by it, which will evidently remind you of the emotion you were feeling when that photo was taken.

I consider myself to be a preservationist of memories. That is one of the most important reasons why I photograph weddings, couples and families. The love shared between two people is something so special. Think about it, out of ALL the people in the World, you picked each other! Ther is and will only ever be a person, couple of family exactly like you. I find that incredibly powerful and oh so special.

Family is important. Love should be celebrated, whether sisterly love, or love between friends, or family, or partners. Why is it only celebrated on special occasions? Why not every day? What I produce (or anyone who records history in the making) is bigger than I am. It is infinite.

Getting to know my couples enables me to see and feel the connection and love between them as well as their families. That’s what I photograph on their wedding day.

I feel so lucky to have a career I absolutely adore and cherish.

Moving to Coffs Harbour from Sydney 16 years ago with 2 small children our family grew to another 4 additions born locally.DMT Photography is a family owned boutique wedding & portrait studio.

Our home on 1.5 acres at Urunga is our paradise, 5 mins drive to the beach. Our yard is full of exotic birdlife & not to mention the occasional snake. Our Golden retriever "Simba" is also a part of the family. As you may well imagine my children have been photographed past the point of caring & our walls inside our home are lined with their photographs.

My awesome wife Judy & my two eldest sons will take turns to see who can come to a wedding with me as the 2nd photographer, they love the atmosphere & the fun experience of the day, not to mention I pay them very well Ha Ha.

As our photo shows we are a very relaxed & family orientated tribe, I believe this shows through in my artistic work as a Photographic Artist.
